Whilst Google put somewhat of a pause of its recent smartphones, Huawei sub-brand the Honor is going full throttle and on course with its latest smartphone the Honor 7X.

Huawei's Honor 7X is official and we're going to check what we are getting right here. It provides minimum bezels around a 5.93-inch high-end display, which has a beautiful resolution of 2160×1080. The design is a full unibody aluminium construct with a couple of cameras at the back. The first one is a 16-megapixel shooter and the opposite is a 2-megapixel camera. There's an 8-megapixel front-facing digital camera at the front for all your selfie crazies. What's under the hood? An octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, 4GB of RAM, with your choice of 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB storage option.

Additionally incorporated with the Honor 7X is a twin SIM card slot, a fingerprint sensor at the back and a battery that's packing 3340mAh. There's a micro USB charging port at the bottom, while, I would have preferred to see USB type C, I can understand why micro USB is still relevant today. It comes with EMUI 5.1 operating atop Android 7.0 Nougat.

Honor 7X Gold

You'll enjoy 3 colours of your choice: Gold, Black, and Aurora Blue. It's priced at roughly $200 for the 32GB version, $250 for the 64GB and $305 for the 128GB variant. The Honor 7X launches in China on October 17. There's currently no word on other markets at this time, but this would definitely be a market for Canada.
