Do you want to become better at mobile gaming? If so, then you need to understand that there are a lot of different things you need to work on. Mobile games are more accessible than ever but unfortunately, this means that there is now way more competition than there was a few years ago. A lot of people say that practice makes perfect and although this is true to some extent, you have to remember that there are other ways that you can boost your performance.

Enable DND

The first thing you need to do, if you are a serious mobile gamer, is enable DND mode. Have you ever been just about to win a game, but then you got a phone call? This shuts down your entire screen, and by the time you have hit the end call button, you may have lost the match already. The great thing about DND mode is that it helps to mute any unwanted messages and calls. This lets you work without any pauses. The model also has a priority list where you can choose to let just the important messages through. If you want to turn this on by using your Android phone then swipe down from the top of the screen and then hit the DND icon. You can swipe down on an IOS and then hit the crescent moon option if you want to enable it too. Most smartphones can multitask as well. You can have several apps running all together at the same time, and although this is convenient, it’s not good for gaming. Graphic-intensive games, such as Fortnite tend to use a lot of RAM, as well as processor memory. You need to clear the background apps if you want to run them in high-quality settings. If you want to clear the background on your Android then click on the multi-window button and then tap on clear apps. On your iPhone, swipe up and then manually close your apps down.

Customizing Controls

Every gamer is different at the end of the day. As a gamer, you will probably have different gaming preferences too. Some gamers prefer to have a cleaner layout and others prefer a more accessible interface. Developers tend to bundle layouts together too, and this may not suit everyone. This is where gaming controls come in. Popular games such as Fortnite and even Player Unknown Battlegrounds tend to have a lot of in-game settings. You can try the default layout and you can also tweak it until it suits you. On top of this, you can also tweak the camera view and the audio levels. This should help you to boost your overall gameplay, so keep that in mind if you can.

Use a Controller

If you haven’t tried mobile gaming with a controller yet then you are missing out. Having physical buttons helps to make gaming way easier, and this is especially the case if you are playing games such as Fortnite. Of course, the great thing about this is that you can aim precisely and you can also shift weapons with ease. Buttons on a gaming controller tend to be quite pressure-sensitive. This means if you are using a driving game, you can hit the brakes slowly, or you can slam on. Either way, if you are playing a competitive driving game then options like this are really useful as they can help you to make the most out of your gaming experience.

Sound is Important

Visuals are important, but sound is even more so. If you have a pair of earphones then you would be surprised at how useful they can be. Speakers often miss out on details within the game, such as approaching footsteps and vehicle sounds. The smaller details can contribute a lot towards winning, so make sure that you are using them to your advantage. When you can hear every detail, you can then make changes and you can also make sure that you are hearing things as they should be. Little things like this can make a major difference to how you play and the result you get out of your experience.

Play using a Bigger Screen

Gaming on a mobile screen can be a little inconvenient. If you have a phone then there’s a chance you can take advantage of mirroring. Screen mirroring is super simple and you can even enable it on your iOS device if you want. If you are an Android user then go to your settings and then choose the wireless display option. From there you can then pair it with your phone and you are good to go. For iPhones and iPads, you simply need to make sure that you open the control center by swiping down and then going onto the screen mirror icon. You will need to have a TV that enables Air-Play if you want to set up mirroring. Either way, if you can do this then you will soon find that it is easier than ever for you to get the experience you are going for.

Play Simpler Games

If you want to be good at gaming then it helps to narrow your focus a little. The benefit of narrowing your focus is that it helps you to narrow it down. If you are good at one shooting game then there’s a chance that you will be good at others, so make sure that you keep that in mind. If you are trying to play a lot of games at once however then this can make it difficult for you to come out on top, as you will be average at everything. If you’re not a fan of shooter games then this is understandable. If you want to make things easier on yourself, then opt for mobile-friendly games. Checkers is a great option as you don’t need to worry about connecting an external controller. You also have options such as Chess, if you feel as though you like a game with a bit of strategy. By practicing these games on your phone, you can take your gaming to the next level while also working on your problem-solving skills.

Turn up your Brightness

You’d be surprised at how many opportunities you could be missing out on, by simply not having your screen brightness turned up. If you want to help yourself here then turn it right up and make sure that your settings allow you to see the finest details of the game you’re playing. The best thing about doing this is that it allows you to pick up on the nuances of the game, and this can benefit you in the long run. Keep in mind that if you are playing huge games, and if you have your brightness turned up, this can impact your battery level. The last thing you want is for your phone to die halfway through your gaming experience, so make sure that you invest in a power bank if you want to work around this. It’s a great way for you to make the most out of your gaming and you’d be surprised at how much it could help you to game for longer, without being limited by your device. Power banks can be bought online and they give you the chance to charge your mobile device while on the go, which is great, to say the least.
