  • Make sure everybody is in on it. The culture of your business has to be such that everybody is aware of the security risks and is employing the best practice. If you have a reception team who are not taking down visitors' names, license plates and contact information when they come in the door, something is going wrong. The risks associated with people coming in and out of the company requires constant communication with your team. When they have an appointment, they need to know who's coming. Everyone requires training in security inside your business; it can make a big difference in ensuring that all levels of your company are secure. Security breaches are often the consequence of complacency, but it doesn't have to be if everybody is on board.
  • Invest in the best material. From CCTV cameras to up-to-date and robust computer software, you need to get everything up and running for your business to be working and more secure.   • Plan. Just because we live in a digital age doesn't mean everything is about being online. There are so many levels of security that you have to consider for your business to be safe. If you are renting, make sure that you have a meeting with the landlord to figure out what they are doing to ensure the safety of everyone. From the car park to the stairwells, you want to know that everybody is 100% covered and there is no blind spot.
