The next OnePlus flagship is almost here, and the hype is real. The OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be the company’s boldest leap in years — not just another incremental update, but a clear statement that OnePlus is still in the flagship game.

While much of what we know comes from official teasers, verified leaks, and early reports, every piece of information in this article has been cross-checked and sourced from reputable outlets. You’ll find a full list of those sources at the bottom of this piece.

We’ll continue updating this story as new details are confirmed ahead of the phone’s official launch.

The Big Picture

OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will debut first in China on October 27, 2025, followed by a global launch in mid-November.

While most of what’s out there comes from leaks and official teasers, several details have now been verified by multiple publications — enough to paint a clear picture of where OnePlus is heading next.

A Massive Battery Upgrade

Let’s start with the headline feature: battery life.

The OnePlus 15 is confirmed to pack a 7,300 mAh “Glacier Battery”, the largest ever in a OnePlus device. It’s paired with 120 W Super Flash charging and 50 W wireless support.

That’s not just a small step up from the OnePlus 13’s 6,000 mAh cell — it’s a full-on endurance play. In short, you’ll be charging less and scrolling more.

Powering It All: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will handle the heavy lifting. It’s Qualcomm’s newest flagship chip and is already showing up in early benchmark leaks as a top performer.

This chip is expected to push gaming and AI processing further while sipping less power. OnePlus is also introducing its own imaging system — DetailMax — built to replace the Hasselblad collaboration that’s defined its cameras for years.

Display: Smoother Than Ever

The display is getting serious attention this year. OnePlus is jumping from 120 Hz to a 165 Hz LTPO AMOLED panel, tuned for ultra-smooth visuals and lower power consumption.

That’s not a gimmick — early details show the panel can dynamically drop its refresh rate when idle to save energy, then crank back up for gaming or video. Bezels are down to roughly 1.15 mm for a true edge-to-edge feel.

Design: Sand Storm Finish and a New Frame Material

The Sand Storm Edition might be the best-looking OnePlus yet. Instead of the standard glass-and-aluminum combo, this model uses a micro-arc oxidation (MAO) finish on the frame that OnePlus says is 3.4× harder than aluminum and 1.3× tougher than titanium.

There’s also a fibreglass back option — lighter, more resilient, and designed to stay cooler under load.

And yes, the famous Alert Slider is gone. It’s being replaced by a customizable “Plus Key”, which can be assigned to shortcuts, modes, or apps.

Camera: A Shift in Philosophy

Official camera specs are still under wraps, but leaks suggest a triple 50 MP rear setup and a 32 MP front camera.

That said, the real story here isn’t megapixels — it’s processing. The new DetailMax engine focuses on better dynamic range and colour accuracy.

Think less “sharpened social media filters,” more true-to-life shots.

Price and Availability

Pricing hasn’t been confirmed. Based on previous launches and component upgrades, expect it to land in premium flagship territory — likely starting around the same range as the OnePlus 13 Pro.

Once the global release happens in November 2025, we’ll update this story with exact pricing per region.

CRYOVEX Takeaway

The OnePlus 15 looks like the comeback fans have been waiting for — big battery, better materials, and a display that’s ready for serious gamers and multitaskers.

If OnePlus can deliver on camera improvements and keep its price from creeping too high, this could be one of the most balanced Android flagships of 2025.

We’ll be testing the phone once it’s in hand, so keep an eye out for our full review right here on CRYOVEX.com.
