A popular series of portable, weather-proof speakers made by Creative has been available over the past decade in various shapes and sizes and with various audio features. Creative finally updated the series with its latest release, the Muvo Go.
Creative has gradually simplified the list of features with each update over time. MUVO's current speakers are no longer equipped with microSD card slots, NFC pairing, or 3.5mm audio input as they once did. It is noteworthy that even the speakerphone feature has been removed from the redesigned MUVO Go. Like a smartphone, the IPX7-certified speaker can withstand submersion in water for as long as 30 minutes, even when the USB-C port is not fully sealed. Because of the removal of the connection ports and storage slots, there is less risk of accidental water exposure.

Muvo Go Design
There are two Neodymium drivers and two passive bass radiators inside the MUVO Go. These drivers provide stereo sound of up to 20W while delivering strong bass with these passive bass boosts. I suppose what makes it familiar is the exposed bass radiator on the sides of the speaker. You can see the diaphragms vibrating as they are attached to the speaker. In the same way as previous MUVO models, you can pair two MUVO devices via the Wireless Stereo Link feature to enjoy a broader stereo sound stage.

Once the speaker is on, it enters Bluetooth mode and connects automatically to the device. If you need to pair it with a new device, press/hold the Bluetooth icon button. The design of Muvo Go features three brightly-coloured buttons on the top of the speaker; These buttons control the volume and playback of your music, presenting a distinctive style to the speaker.
A speaker designed with rugged construction and a waterproof casing makes it suitable for a variety of wet settings, from the bathroom to the poolside. As the MUVO Go is not omnidirectional, meaning that the speaker drivers aren't able to project their sound in all directions at the same time; This makes it less than ideal for use outdoors as a speaker.

Muvo Go Sound Performance
As it turns out, the MUVO Go is the loudest MUVO speaker launched by far. The benefit of larger speakers is that they are louder, have more dynamic sound, and have a more substantial battery capacity of up to 18 hours. I was thoroughly impressed with how the MUVO Go fills my living room effortlessly with a wider open sound as if playing from a larger pair of speakers. Although the tone of the treble is brilliant, the lower bass delivers audible resonance due to the room's acoustics, so the sub-bass cannot achieve the same reverberating effect as a subwoofer, which I expected for the price.
Take note that the MUVO Go has a rather bright and controlled treble and a less forward midrange, thereby delivering an overall rather clean sound.
