Is this the BEST TABLET EVER by Samsung?

It's no surprise that Samsung's Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the most powerful tablet on the market. It's a must-have for any tablet lover. But why is this the BEST TABLET EVER? The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is a stunning device for anyone who wants to make the most of their multimedia experience; With its large screen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is a splendid choice for watching Netflix, browsing the web, or playing video games.

Samsungs new Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the largest tablet the company has ever made—literally. While Samsung and Apple always seem to be going at it with each other's products, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has owned the title of (biggest tablet) for quite some years now; however, Samsung is upping the game with its 14.6-inch display tablet. This tablet is huge, and you either love it or hate it. Laptops rarely exceed this size; It feels more like a small car than a tablet.

The massive amount of screen real estate is excellent for taking notes and sketching with the included S Pen stylus, viewing multiple documents at once or a video timeline.

The S Pen strip is in a silly location, and with its size, you'll probably need to buy a case to protect it. Plus, a chunky display means a hefty price tag.

Some of the key selling points; The tablets are powerful thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1; they come with an S Pen, which makes sketching and note-taking convenient; the use of amazing-looking AMOLED screens; and with 5G connectivity made available, what's not to like?

The new Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is Samsungs most expensive tablet yet, a reasonable price for a device with its size and power. The tablet will be available in a few storage, RAM, and connectivity options. The different options are available in certain select regions.

The default option available in Canada starts at CAD$1499.99, while its US counterpart is $1199.99. You can find the devices at Samsungs retail locations, Best Buy, Amazon and more.

This slate is long, wide and thin, a combination that makes it feel fragile. It is so easy to imagine snapping the tablet in half with your bare hands. Although the tablet is thin, it packs some heft to it. It weighs 726g (1.6 lbs).

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes in only one colour: Graphite, dull gray that is boring.

The tablet design is for use in landscape mode; the USB-C port is on the right edge, while the power button, volume rocker and SIM card slot are on the top left. A three-pin connector at the bottom allows you to connect accessories.

The back of the slate is coated in glass and houses a camera bump, which houses two lenses and a magnetic streak for attaching the S Pen stylus.

Display

I've said a few times that this thing is a monster-sized 14.6-inch tablet. Even comparing the display to the likes of Apple's largest iPad Pro or even some laptops, this is big. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a resolution of 1848 x 2960, which means images look sharp. However, its pixel-per-inch count is lower than other Tab S8 members; it has 240ppi. With a refresh rate of 120Hz. Making the motion in games feel smooth is definitely an ideal aspect for gamers since many popular titles offer higher refresh modes.

The display uses AMOLED tech for bold and stunning pictures, which will come in handy for anyone who does visual work or relies on colour accuracy.

Something that has not been unseen in the tablet screen setup to this day is a notch, yet it houses two front-facing cameras. You might not even notice them—the display is so big overall.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra - Best Tablet Ever - Overview

Performance & Sepcifications

Running its beast mode with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the latest in Snapdragon chip! The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra uses a top-of-the-line chipset, and it comes paired with 8GB, 12GB or 16GB RAM. Storage tops out at 512GB, but a microSD card slot lets you get an additional 1TB space.

The tablet returned a result of 3,320 in our Geekbench 5 multi-core test, which makes it a solid option for playing games or performing intensive work tasks like video editing.

I tested the tablet with Genshin Impact and found it played splendidly. It was hard to use touch controls on a massive screen, but I managed well. I also tested a variety of games that had high-end options for graphics, and they looked pretty dope.

The tablet offers you an array of quad speakers delivering impressive bass and treble, making this an enjoyable form to consume your latest Netflix craze.

Cameras

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra - Best Tablet Ever - Camera & S Pen

Notice the two front-facing cameras in the middle? Both deliver 12MP: One offers a wide-angle lens while the other is ultra-wide. The wide-angle lens is ideal for capturing aesthetically pleasing selfies, while the ultra-wide lens helps you fit more people into your selfies or video conferences.

On the back, there are two cameras: a 13MP primary shooter and a 6MP ultra-wide. No one in their right mind will use them for photography (budget phone beats them), but they're great for scanning documents, AR functions, etc. I will let you judge from the samples.

The camera app offers a few different modes, Single Take (which lets you record a short video from which the device picks out the best picture), Pro photography, Portrait and Night mode, which are typical Samsung options on most devices.

The S Pen

The S Pen works a lot like the Apple Pencil (it comes with the tablet, unlike others). Despite having the same name, it is not the like the pen that comes with Samsung phones – Larger and sturdier. Think of it as a regular pen.

The S Pen clips to the back of the tablet via a magnet system, and it also charges this way. The location of the pen was annoying. I found that for a majority of the usage I made, the stylus was in my way of me enjoying the use of the tablet. Putting the slate down flat when I wasn't using the stylus made this cumbersome. It did drive me batty to some extent.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra - Best Tablet Ever - Stylus & screen

While the S Pen is not necessary for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, I found it convenient when taking notes, navigating menus, drawing and sketching. The stylus pressure sensitivity made it particularly useful; I could press harder for thicker lines or softer for thinner ones, really recreating the crayon drawing experience.

Other Accessories; You can purchase a case, stand and keyboard folio for use with the Tab Ultra.

Battery Life

With 11,200mAh of power, the Galaxy S8 Ultra battery is meaty enough to provide that gigantic screen with loads of juice, and I'm generally happy with the tablet's battery life. With the usage I made, it lasted for a few days. More than any laptop has, haha.

The battery can handle all the things you will throw at it. Get yourself comfortable, watch your favourite TV series, listen to music or engage in your much-anticipated video game. Need to get work done? Go ahead, and let the hours fly by while you work on those documents and answer the thralls of emails.

Should you invest in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra?

If you are looking for a tablet with an enormous display, you'll love the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Its large screen makes it ideal for artists to sketch and take notes because they can see more of their work at a time than they would on smaller tablets. The dual front-facing cameras on the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra are convenient for video calls because you can stay in the frame while presenting, much better than you could on a Surface.

On the flip side, this large-screen tablet will be too big for some people. If you think that a giant 14.6-inch display makes you cringe at the size, don't bother as you'll hate it with a passion; This is an expensive tablet, and only buy it if you have serious money to spend. Absolutely fork the money for a case, shell, folio or whatever you want to call it, don't drop it for ANY REASONS. If you're prone to drop things, are clumsy or don't pay attention to your stuff, STAY AWAY.
