Introduction

Coming from a company that's been in the business for a long time, the MEGABOOM 3 is the big brother of the BOOM 3. There's a reason why I call it the BIG BROTHER of the BOOM 3! You can feel it everywhere.
If you take a look at the down-right, I've included all the cute technical details about the MEGABOOM 3. In the audio test I completed below I play some music to see how well I could capture the audio coming out of the MEGABOOM 3, and I must say I'm impressed.

MEGABOOM 3 bursts a powerful 360-degree sound with sharp vocals and instruments, meticulously evenhanded and unfiltered so you can hear each note just as the artist intended. All of this sound wouldn't be complete without the deeper rich bass it can deliver!
The redesign
The MEGABOOM 3 offers all of the features you love, which works with all generations of BOOM and MEGABOOM and allows you to connect up to 150 speakers. With an added custom equalizer (EQ), and remote on/off controls.
Can you hear it now? The title says it all, no? When you have to lower the volume on the MEGABOOM 3 to be able to talk to your friends on the 11th floor of your unit, it's a good indication that it's doing a GREAT JOB!
The extended range
The MEGABOOM 3 allows anyone up to 150 feet to connect, listen and enjoy. That's just a little over 45 meters! You do need to have a line of sight with the device.
Reading into some of the durability testings that it underwent, its been deemed tough, drop-proof, waterproof, and it floats! It averages about 20 hours worth of music listening pleasure. You can pick it up and go anytime!
The style
You can get a sense of style with the various options in colours. The two-tone colours of the UE MEGABOOM 3 come in Blue, Purple Red, Black, Black/White, Black/Red.
Ultimately this becomes your speaker for everything. You'll be taking it to the beach, the patio, camping or hosting a small gathering, with some chill vibe, over a firepit.
I'm taking this to the camper in Northern Quebec and on the shore of Lake Erie, Ontario.
Cost?
Now, this is the part where things get dicey. The UE MEGABOOM 3 in Canada is $249.99. You've got to look at this as an investment in entertainment. I agree with every one of you there are cheaper alternatives, it'll come down to preferences.
Please make sure you read the manual to know what the buttons do. It's easy to use but can be confusing. The big button is not the Bluetooth pairing button like on other BT speakers. It's my fault for not reading the manual before attempting to use it, but I did manage to get everything working.
Final note
I recommend this BT speaker to anyone needing a speaker that can deliver club thumping sounds to your group of friends. An excellent investment to be made and to be enjoyed for many years.
