Overview Viper Gaming V551 Mouse – Review; Here’s some gaming news for the pc gaming fans. I’m testing out the V551 from Viper Gaming. While the mouse performs as expected I do see a drawback. I’ll be going over the specs, details, the software. Also don’t forget that if you intend to put a pc together, your best friend is pc part picker!

The mouse provides a full RGB spectrum experience with a very well detailed and customizable option in the software. It’s very affordable and attractive.
Much like many of the competition, the V551 requires software to be installed to enhance your experience. The software provides you with the ability to customize the profiles, buttons, macros and the RGB colour scheme.
What you may not be aware of is the technology inside the mouse itself. The mouse draws on the pixart sensor to give you 6200 in DPI base on the hardware and a maximum gain of 12000 DPI with the enhancement via the software.
The mouse buttons are base on the Omron switches giving it that clicking sound and feedback. Adding to the mix a braided cable with a modest length, allowing you ample room to move.
The mouse weighs 166g, I find this to be heavy for a gaming mouse. I’d be curious to see if Viper Gaming can shave 66g off the mouse, this would make it more competitive and in the same field as some of the best gaming mouse.
In-Game performance is a whole different level of wow, in my personal experience. I will make a note that I typically go for the bigger mouse, this one is medium-large and terms of size.
My gameplay was impressive, I customized a few of the keys for specific actions like jump+fire, increased the DPI so that I would also be able to make some turnabout faster.
My needs aren’t that high considering the options you have with the Viper Gaming V551.
What will this little monster cost you? Amazon Canada is out of stock, unfortunately. Hop on over to Amazon US and you can get it for $39.99.
