San Francisco, CA—October 1, 2018— Caavo, an entertainment-obsessed hardware and software company, today introduces Control Center™, an entertainment hub and universal, voice-controlled remote that unites everything connected to your TV. Control Center seamlessly searches, discovers and manages your content across live TV, DVR, streaming services and web content, all in one place. Control Center simplifies the TV-watching experience making it easy for the whole family to watch.

Entertainment options have exploded thanks to a rapid expansion of services, devices and platforms, yet finding and accessing the full breadth of available content is a major challenge.
Viewers navigate through so many inputs, remotes and apps that the biggest screen in the house is often dark. With more than 60 patents and patents-pending in play to unite entertainment for everyone, Control Center creates a seamless entertainment experience, independent search, and handpicked guides to discover new content.

“When Caavo introduced our first entertainment hub in Februa ry of this year, we solved unified search and control across multiple platforms, which is great if you know what you want to watch,” said Andrew Einaudi , CEO and co-founder of Caavo Inc. “Today, there is so much great content available, we made our unified search even stronger and introduced hand-picked guides, editorial recommendations and community features to promote sharing and discovery of great entertainment with Control Center.”

Simple and Easy Set-Up
Connect up to four devices and a TV, plus a soundbar or A/V Receiver and Control Center will detect the devices and walk you through set-up. Pair with Google Voice or Amazon Alexa to tell Control Center to Power on, Search, Mute, Play content, and other remote-control functions. Lost remote? Push the metal button on top of Control Center or ask Google or Alexa to find it for you.

How It Works
Once Control Center becomes your entertainment hub, it automatically switches between live TV, streaming media, DVR, gaming, and YouTube across devices including: Apple TV, Chromecast, DirecTV, DVD/Blu-ray, DISH, Fire TV, Nintendo®, Nvidia Shield TV, Playstation®, Roku, Spectrum, TiVo, Xbox One, XFINITY and more. Control Center uses a combination of infrared (IR), Bluetooth, internet protocol (IP), HDMI CEC and machine vision to perfectly control your home entertainment. Using voice and cloud intelligence, Control Center finds the most relevant content, displays availability across apps, and plays it. Control Center supports 4K HDR and advanced audio formats such as Dolby® Atmos.

Single Control
Control Center gets you straight to the show. Just say “Watch The Big Lebowski” using the voice-activated remote, and Control Center will turn on the TV and take you there—no need to fumble through multiple device menus and apps with constantly moving content lists. With Control Center you only need one remote, but if someone grabs another device remote (e.g. a game  controller), Control Center will recognize it and respond by switching inputs to the corresponding source.

Independent Search
Control Center’s search does not favor any service or platform, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for without the clutter of content that may not be relevant to your search intent. Search for content by title, network, director, actor, editorial, tastemaker or theme.

Discover Something Great to Watch
Go to the “Watch” menu to find featured editorial guides, alerts for new episodes of your shows, and hand-picked suggestions from tastemakers to discover something interesting to watch. Plus, Control Center empowers you to create and publish your own lists to share with the Caavo community using “Crowd Surfing.”

Mobile App for iOS and Android
Test drive the Control Center “Watch” experience and find something great to watch using the Caavo TV & Movie Guides app. The mobile app for iOS is available in the App Store now and an Android version is coming soon.
