The “New Super Bright Display” delivers stunning display quality and uses less power than you'd think.

The latest flagship was just announced today in Toronto and will feature a new 6.1-inch QHD+ screen which has a resolution of 3120×1440. This device is making use of the FullVision display reaching a brightness of 1000 nit, the brightest and most stunning display on a smartphone to this day. All this is achieved with LG's latest “Super Bright” display technology. We all use our smartphones outside in direct sunlight, this has been designed just for that. LG even tots a 30% reduction in power usage compared to its predecessors.

This display happens to be bombastic, colour tones on the LG G7 ThinQ are hyped and natural all at the same time even when in direct sunlight. The LG G7 can easily adapt to 6 different colour settings; Auto, Eco, Cinema, Sports, Game and Expert.

I'd personally likely leave it in its automatic mode and let it analyzes and identifies the content I'm viewing while it optimizes the display setting for the best viewing experience. This has for effect of reducing the power usage as well. Power users can go around and play with the settings for more control.

Hard to think that LG has been able to improve this device since we already had a great display-to-body ratio from the previous LG G6. In this latest release, the LG G7 ThinQ has been fitted with an ergonomic flare that will feel comfortable in your hands. Keeping with the current trends, we are going to see a 19.5:9 ratio in this latest flagship. The design is completed with a slimmer bottom bezel compared to the LG G6.

The bezel-less design of the FullVision display provides a more immersive viewing experience while the New Second Screen variable display creates additional room at the top of the screen for notifications without taking up prime screen real estate. The New Second Screen can be de-activated for a more traditional look or set to display different colours for a totally unique user experience.

A dual 16MP camera will be on the rear, with a standard lens coupled with a wide-angle lens. According to the “Android Headlines” leak, the wide-angle camera will feature a 107-degree field-of-view, while the standard camera has a f/1.6 aperture.

Expect optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus and manual mode for adjusting shutter speed, ISO, exposure and white balance, as the G6 offers.

All will be revealed shortly in the next few days as the launch is scheduled for May 2nd!

Many are confident that the LG G7 ThinQ will boast the Snapdragon 845 and will come with 2 variants 128 GB, 6 GB RAM or 64 GB, 4 GB RAM.

Come on May 2nd!
